The Fluttering Flame

Dedication to to a memory

I dive into the ocean of your eyes and
see in its depths images of a dream
taking shape....

I swim in the sea of your warmth and
feel the faint stirrings of a magic
gently taking shape..

I bathe in the glow of your radiance
lighting my life today..

and I cup my hands
over the fluttering flame
half afraid it will go out
before it is born.
